“More dangerous” protests ahead: regime official warns

NCRI – Another wave of “more dangerous” protests awaits the Iranian regime, a member of the regime’s Majlis (Parliament) warned on Wednesday.

According to the state-run Raja News, mullahs’ Majlis deputy Zakani said, “During last year’s sedition [anti-regime protests], the movements of heresy and hypocrisy brought about the bitter events following the elections. … If we lose our clear sightedness and become naïve, then another sedition will form which will be much more dangerous than those of 1999 and 2009,” referring to the July 1999 student uprising and the post-June 2009 mass protests.

Displaying clear worries, Zakani added, “The enemies have learned lessons from previous movements and are planning ominous acts in the country. If we continue to overlook this, harm will be brought on to the country.”

“The leader [Ali Khamenei] adopted all options to prevent others from slipping, but there is a bigger sedition coming, the occurrence of which will depend on how we act,” he said.
