Global Demonstrations Mark Anniversary of Iran’s 2022 Uprising

As the anniversary of the 2022 Iranian uprising approaches, a wave of demonstrations and rallies has swept across 40 cities worldwide. These events, organized by supporters of the Iranian Resistance movement, aim to commemorate the uprising and show solidarity with the ongoing struggle for freedom in Iran.

In major European cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam, Geneva, Paris, and Copenhagen, Iranian expatriates and human rights activists gathered to voice their support for the Iranian people’s quest for democracy and human rights.

The demonstrations featured exhibitions showcasing the Iranian revolution’s history and current developments. Paris, a significant hub for Iranian diaspora activities, saw a large rally ahead of the uprising’s anniversary. Participants emphasized the importance of international support for the Iranian people’s aspirations for regime change.

In Germany, cities like Düsseldorf and Essen hosted exhibitions organized by supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK). These events highlighted the ongoing revolution in Iran and called for global attention to the human rights situation in the country.

The widespread nature of these demonstrations, spanning 40 cities across various countries, underscores the international community’s growing concern over the situation in Iran. Protesters demanded stronger action from world governments to support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and democracy.
