In response to the intensifying torture and mistreatment of political prisoners during their transfer from Evin Prison, and the inhumane conditions in Fashafouyeh prison (Greater Tehran Penitentiary) and Qarchak prison (Varamin), defiant youth launched 15 operations across 15 cities, despite heightened security and widespread arrests by the IRGC, Ministry of Intelligence, and Basij forces.
The cities included Karaj, Mashhad, Isfahan, Urmia, Qazvin, Gorgan, Neyshabur, Faresan Shiraz, Sepidan (Fars Province), Azadshahr, Takestan, Khash, Chabahar, Dezful, and Gotvand (Khuzestan). They set fire to centers of repression and symbols of the regime.
The following centers were set ablaze in these operations:
- Five IRGC Basij bases in Isfahan, Dezful, Khash, Chabahar, and Farsan
- The office of Khamenei’s representative in Takestan, Qazvin province
- The 110th IRGC Battalion in Sepidan, Fars Province
- A government looting and repression center under the guise of the “Imam Khomeini Relief Committee” in Gotvand, Khuzestan province
Additionally, government symbols, banners, and posters bearing the images of Khomeini, Khamenei, and Qassem Soleimani were set on fire in Karaj, Qazvin, Urmia, Gorgan, and Azadshahr, along with a guidepost for the IRGC Basij espionage headquarters in Mashhad and Neyshabur.
