Two committees of the Italian Senate held a joint hearing on the violations of human rights in Iran and the Iranian regime’s interference in Middle Eastern countries.

Mr. Struan Stevenson, the president of the European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA) and Mrs. Dowlat Nowrouzi, the U.K. Representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran were heard by Italian senators and dignitaries.

The hearing was chaired jointly by Senator Paolo Corsini, Deputy Chair of Foreign Affairs Committee and Senator Luigi Manconi, the president of Human Rights Committee of the Italian Senate.

Many Italian dignitaries including Former Foreign Minister of Italy Giulio Terzi, the Secretary General of Hands off Cane Sergio D’Elia, and the financial secretary of the organization, Mrs. Elisabetta Zamparutti attended the hearing.

Mrs Dowlat Nowrouzi presented a message by Mrs Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the Iranian Resistance.

Mrs Rajavi referred to the bloody record of the Velayat-e faqih regime and the gloomy record of its so-called moderate President Mullah Rouhani with atrocities such as the splashing of acid on defenseless women or the stabbing of female students.

She said that since Hassan Rouhani became President, at least 1,200 have been executed.
Rajavi said that since six years ago the residents of Camp Liberty have been under an inhumane siege by Iraqi agents who deny them freedom of movement, access to lawyer and have put them under psychological torture with sound broadcast directed at their housing units.

She urged the Italian government to act to end siege on Camp Liberty, especially the medical blockade, and the Camp Liberty file should be handed over to institutions with no ties to the Iranian regime.
Struan Stevenson said Shiite militia in Iraq are being financed by Iran and led by Quds Force and hundreds of Shiite militia paid by Iranian mullahs operate across whole Iraq.

“Their murderous brutality provided the perfect opportunity for the ISIS to enter Iraq from Syria.”

America that has been taken by surprise is carrying out bombing in Iraq that according to experts will not succeed in defeating ISIS and that helps the Shiite militias and helping Iran to reach its ultimate objective to take control of Iraq, Mr. Stevenson said.
