Iran: Nuclear program is causing yearly loss of $160 billion, ex-minister says

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s nuclear program is causing a yearly financial loss of more than $160 billion for the country, a former high ranking official of the Iranian regime said in an interview published on Saturday.

Mohammad Jahromi, the former minister of labor and social affairs in the first cabinet of Mahmoud Ahmedinejad told state-run Nameh News: “I would have not allowed the nuclear dossier cause a yearly loss of more than $160 billion for the country.”

Jahromi who also has a long record of working for the IRGC has been the chief of the state-run Bank Saderat until September 2011 when removed from office due to the Bank’s connection to the embezzlement of nearly $3 billion.

This is first time that a high ranking official of the Iranian regime with access to the financial statistics reveals the extent of financial loss that the Iranian regime is causing.
