Satellite dishes confiscated to prevent access to information

NCRI – The Iranian regime has confiscated satellite dishes in several parts of Tehran to prevent free access to information, according to reports by Hrana this week.

The news agency said the regime’s State Security Forces (SSF) raided some apartments in western Tehran districts like Shahrak-e Gharb and Ekbatan to confiscate satellite dishes.

Hrana reported that there was a large number of SSF agents taking part in the raids.

In addition to having their satellites confiscated, home owners are usually pressured by the regime to pay financial fines.

In recent days, the regime has also increased its attempts to jam satellite signals, which some researches say could cause harm to people’s health.
