NCRI – The Iranian regime’s leaders who are fearful of international community’s rage over chemical attack by Syrian dictatorship against Syrian people put the blame on Syrian opposition and have resorted to propaganda and threats to prevent a reaction by the international community to this war crime and crime against humanity.
IRGC Brigadier General Jazaeri, Deputy Commander of clerical regime’s Armed Forces General Headquarters, said in this regard: “U.S. knows the redline area in the Syrian front and any transgression of the Syrian redline will have dire consequences for the White House.” In reaction to statements made by a number of Western officials on using the military intervention option in Syria he said: “Currently, the Syrian government and people have the upper hand in the imposed terrorist war by world arrogance and reactionaries… all collaborators of U.S. and the Zionist regime are facing problems in the terrorist war against Syria and those who aggravate this fire shall not be safe from vengeance of nations [i.e. Iranian regime’s terrorists].” (ISNA state news agency – 25 August 2013)
Mullahs’ parliament speaker Larijani, in a perverse and stupid fabrication, said: “Using weapons of mass destruction that the terrorists used in Syria is to pave the way for U.S. and Zionist regime’s opportunism to buy time in the warmongering between tribes and religions for a sham peace in Palestine and re-humiliate the oppressed Palestinian nation … Oppressive and outlaw states who do not assess the path for developments in the region in their hegemony-driven interests, have switched on the project to unsettle the region.” (IRGC news agency Mehr – 25 August 2013)
