US fears close ties between Iran and Iraq – Tehran daily

US fears close ties between Iran and Iraq – Tehran dailyNCRI – In an open declaration of meddling in Iraq, and threatening the Middle East by exporting fundamentalism, the state-run daily Ressalat blamed former Iraqi government for creating tension between Iran and Iraq with their support for the US.

In an article published on Sunday the daily said the cooperation between Ayad Alawi, former Prime Minister, Ghazi Alyavar, former Vice-President and Hazem Shaalan, former Defense Minister, with the "American forces" caused "tensions with Iran and these sorts of things which led to their elimination from the Iraqi political stage."

The daily added, "consolidation of relations between Iran and Iraq based on common principles and Islam at its core is exactly what the White House fears in the Middle East. What people like Hossni Mobarak and King Abdullah say (these days) are clear proofs to this claim."
