Iranian Resistance urges Security Council to impose comprehensive sanctions on mullahs’ regime

Iranian Resistance urges Security Council to impose comprehensive sanctions on mullahs' regimeNCRI – The following is a statement by the NCRI Secretariat on July 12:

Subsequent to the meeting of the foreign ministers of P5+1 in Paris today, the French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy, speaking on behalf of his colleagues, said that following the clerical regime’ refusal to respond to the incentive package, "we have no choice but to return to the Security Council and continue the process suspended two months ago."

NCRI’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chair, Mohammad Mohaddessin, said in this regard, "As the Iranian Resistance had declared previously, the ruling theocracy will never abandon its uranium enrichment activities because it considers nuclear weapons as strategic guarantee for its survival."

NCRI’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chair added, "The four-year experience of negotiations between the Europeans and the clerical regime made it abundantly clear that the mullahs will take advantage of any dialogue or incentive to buy time in order to complete their ominous nuclear weapons program."

He added, "Now, there is no longer any justification for delay, hesitation and renewal or extension of time in order to act firmly against the mullahs’ regime. The United Nations Security Council must put the imposition of comprehensive arms, oil, technological and diplomatic embargo against the Iranian regime on its agenda."
