  • Iraj Harirchi, regime’s Deputy Health Minister: In some provinces, such as Qom, the situation is quasi-explosive. The number of Coronavirus hospitalizations has increased from 10 to about 160 patients daily. We no longer have a red, orange, yellow, and green state. We consider the entire country to be red and in an alarming state. In fact, like a rough sea, we face several waves of outbreaks and have been experiencing the death of over 100 people daily for several months. Today, we have a total of 35,500 Coronavirus patients hospitalized. (State TV, September 17, 2020)
  • Sharifi Moghaddam, Secretary-General of the “Nursing Home”: Part of the high daily death rate is due to excessive fatigue of nurses. In the United States, a nurse is paid $4,000 for working seven hours a day. When their working hours were increased to nine hours because of the Coronavirus outbreak, their error rate increased by 14 percent. Now compare that to at least 12 to 14 working hours of nurses in Iranian hospitals, while they only earn about $ 120 per month. Some nurses do not go home during the week. (Arman daily, September 17, 2020)
  • Isfahan University of Medical Sciences: During the past 24 hours, we have had 25 deaths in patients suspected of Coronavirus and 18 that had tested positive for Coronavirus in hospitals and medical centers of the Province without considering the tolls for the cities, Kashan and Aran va Bidgol.(IMNA news agency, September 17, 2020)
  • Vice President of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences: The Coronavirus fatalities are increasing. In the last three days, we have had 47 mortalities. (State TV, September 17, 2020)
