Nationwide Uprising – No. 7
Maryam Rajavi: The three-day uprising by merchants and students signals the general public’s determination to be free from religious tyranny. This wretched regime is doomed to be overthrown by the risen populace and rebellious youth.
On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, the third day of the nationwide uprising, protests and strikes spread to various cities and universities. In addition to Tehran, the people and rebellious youth in many cities, including Isfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Mashhad, Arak, Hamedan, Karaj, Ahvaz, Yazd, Qazvin, Shahr-e Kord, Urmia, Tabriz, Sabzevar, Nurabad-e Mamasani, Malayer, Dargahan in Qeshm, Izeh, Malard, Marlik in Karaj, Faresan, and Fuladshahr, rose up, staging demonstrations and confronting suppressive forces.
Simultaneously, students at various universities, including Khajeh Nasir Toosi University, Sharif University of Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Culture, National University (Beheshti), University of Tehran, Allameh Tabataba’i University, and Amirkabir University in Tehran, as well as Isfahan University of Technology and Yazd University, boycotted classes and held demonstrations. The students emphasized their determination to overthrow the religious tyranny with slogans such as ‘Death to the dictator,’ ‘Death to the principle of Velayat-e Faqih,’ ‘Poverty, corruption, high prices, we will go on until the overthrow,’ ‘Death to the tyrant, whether the Shah or the Leader,’ ‘Neither Pahlavi nor the Leader, freedom and equality,’ and ‘Reformist, Principlist, the game is over.’ Students at the University of Tehran and Amirkabir University clashed with Basij and State Security Force (SSF) mercenaries.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, saluted the freedom-loving students and said: The three-day uprising by merchants, students, and other sectors of society signals the Iranian people’s determination to be free from religious tyranny. This wretched regime is doomed to be overthrown by the risen populace and rebellious youth.
