Iran: Nightly Protests in Various Cities, Clashes Between People and Suppressive Forces

Nationwide Uprising – No. 9

Deputy Governor of Lorestan: One Basij member killed and 13 State Security Force (SSF) and Basij members injured in Kuhdasht clashes. Khamenei’s agents raid the National University’s female dormitory, abducting several students and sparking protests.

On the evening of Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the fourth day of the nationwide uprising, people and rebellious youth in Arak, Khorramabad, Shiraz, Dorud, Nahavand, Yasuj, Rasht, Shahr-e Qods, Baghmalek, Kuhdasht, Fuladshahr, Asadabad, Ramhormoz, Babol, Qeshm, Lali, Masjed Soleyman, Marlik, and various parts of Tehran took to the streets and clashed with suppressive forces. They shook the streets with chants of ‘Iranians, cry out, shout for your rights!’ and ‘This is the year of blood, Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown.’

In Urmia, during a volleyball match, thousands of youths chanted the powerful slogan, ‘Azerbaijan is honorable, Pahlavi is dishonorable.’

In Kuhdasht, after thugs loyal to the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, opened fire on protesters, courageous youths fought back, attacking the vehicles of the suppressive forces as hit-and-run clashes spread to different parts of the city. Saeed Pourali, Lorestan’s Deputy Governor for Political, Security, and Social Affairs, announced that a Basij member named Amir Hossein Khodaeifar was killed during these clashes, and 13 members of the State Security Force (SSF) and Basij were injured by thrown stones.

In Hamedan and Asadabad, rebellious youth set fire to a Basij base and a hideout for the Ministry of Intelligence. They stood their ground against the special units’ water cannons in sub-zero temperatures.

In Fuladshahr, Isfahan, confrontations erupted between youths and suppressive forces. Mercenaries fired on the people, and the youths responded by taking control of some streets by lighting fires.

In Arak, suppressive forces used water cannons to disperse the people, but the youths fought back, chanting ‘Dishonorable, dishonorable,’ and charged at the special units.

In Rasht, youths set fire to a motorcycle belonging to plainclothes agents who were attacking people. In Ramhormoz, people set fire to a building used by the suppressive forces.

At 11:00 PM on Wednesday, following nightly protests by students at the National University (Beheshti University) in Tehran, plainclothes agents and intelligence operatives raided the women’s dormitory, abducting several students. In response, a large number of students gathered in front of the dormitory and confronted the mercenaries, chanting ‘Dishonorable, dishonorable.’
