Iran: Brutal Execution of Three Brave Rebellious Youths in Mashhad by the Executioners of Religious Fascism

Executed under the pretext of leading rioters, punishing Basij agents, using Molotov cocktails, and inciting the people to uprising

  • Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: “The executions stem from the regime’s fear of uprisings and are intended to terrorize the people who rose up in January for overthrow and freedom.”

Continuing their daily and incessant crimes, the executioners of the clerical regime executed three brave rebellious youths from the children of the people of Mashhad—Mehdi Rasouli, Mohammad-Reza Miri, and Ebrahim Dolatabadi—in the city’s Vakilabad Prison.

The regime’s judiciary, which announced the news of this brutal crime on Monday, May 4, listed their charges as “leading and guiding rioters with the aim of confronting the system,” participating in the punishment of several Basij agents using “Molotov cocktails and knives,” “inciting people in cyberspace to participate in the riots,” and “making and carrying handmade swords.”

According to the announcement by the regime’s judiciary, Mehdi Rasouli, a 25-year-old worker, and Mohammad-Reza Miri, a 21-year-old worker, “carried out violent acts” during the January uprising and “had a direct role” in the death of “security force agent Hamidreza Yousefinejad.” It further stated, “Ebrahim Dolatabadi was one of the main leaders of the riots in the Tabarsi region, which led to the death of several security forces.”

The announcement adds, “Using his handmade sword that he had made himself on the same day, Rasouli was present in the riots and among the crowd for hours and incited the crowd. Prior to participating in the riots, they had published calls and encouraged others to participate in them.”

The regime’s judiciary emphasized, “While present in Tabarsi Boulevard in Mashhad, Ebrahim Dolatabadi led and guided rioters toward the governorate and the state radio and television for destructive actions. On his personal page in cyberspace, he invited participation in the riots and incited the people to chaos and riots. He brought along about 250 to 300 machete-wielding rioters, which led to clashes with security forces, the death of several security defenders, and the destruction of a Basij base and a bank.”

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), described the cruel executions of the brave youths of Iran in various parts of the country as stemming from the regime’s fear of uprisings and intended to terrorize the people who rose up in January to overthrow religious fascism and achieve freedom. The great uprising of the people of Tehran, Mashhad, and Isfahan, which led to the liberation of areas in these cities for hours, has caught the ruling clerics in such a nightmare that they are desperately trying to prevent the recurrence of those uprisings through these crimes. However, no crime can save this regime from the volcano of the people’s anger and its inevitable overthrow.

Saluting the rebellious youths and combatants throughout Iran, especially in heroic Mashhad, Mrs. Rajavi reiterated, “There is no doubt that these crimes will not remain unanswered, and the day of Iran’s freedom and the bringing of the perpetrators and masterminds of these crimes to justice is near.”

She added, “Inaction and silence in the face of brutal and serial executions is a trampling of universal human rights values and encourages the Iranian regime to continue its suppression, torture, and executions.”
