Iran: Execution of Amir-Hossein Ebrahimi and Amir-Hossein Maleki, Two 20-Year-Old Prisoners of the January Uprising in Isfahan

  • Maryam Rajavi: The regime attempts to prevent the uprising with these executions, but this brutality only strengthens the resolve of the youth in their struggle.
  • Call for immediate and effective UN action to stop the execution of uprising prisoners and overturn death sentences.

This morning, Tuesday, 3 November 2026, the henchmen of the anti-human mullahs’ regime executed Amir-Hossein Maleki and Amir-Hossein Ebrahimi, two 20-year-old prisoners of the January uprising, at Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. Along with other uprising prisoners, they had been sentenced to death in the case known as the “Ali-Khani Square” case in Isfahan, in connection with the deaths of four Special Unit agents who were actively involved in the killing of people during the uprising.

The regime’s judiciary cited the charges against Amir-Hossein Maleki and Amir-Hossein Ebrahimi as “moharebeh (waging war on God) and corruption on earth through actions against national security and creating widespread insecurity by brandishing weapons,” and announced that “this group of rioters, in possession of firearms, various types of cold weapons, as well as incendiary materials and Molotov cocktails,” attacked “security-keeping forces and set fire to a police station” (regime’s judiciary website Mizan, 3 November 2026).

Previously, 7 of the convicts in the Ali-Khani Square case—Erfan Esfandiari, Gol Mohammad Mohammadi, Amir-Hossein Safari, Abolfazl Sepahi, Ghaem Hosseini, Alireza Reisi, and Alireza Sepahi—were executed by the regime’s judiciary this past summer and autumn. These criminal sentences were issued by two executioners, Morteza Barati Dorcheh and Mohammad-Reza Tavakkoli, judges of the notorious revolutionary court in Isfahan. A number of other prisoners on death row in this case, including 18-year-old Shervin Bagherian, 19-year-old Ali Dashti, and 18-year-old Abolfazl Ebrahimi, are at risk of execution. Twenty-three others in this case have been sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi strongly condemned the savage execution of the uprising prisoners and brave insurgents. She stated that with these anti-human crimes, the regime is desperately attempting to prevent the people’s uprising, but these executions only strengthen the resolve of the rebellious youths in the fight against religious fascism.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi called on the United Nations, relevant bodies, and human rights authorities to take immediate and effective action to stop the execution of political prisoners and uprising prisoners and to overturn the death sentences. She once again emphasized the necessity of putting the regime’s leaders and its criminal judges on trial for five decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.
