"Maryam Rajavi [referring to President-elect of the Iranian Resistance] has begun a new publicity campaign in the country. Such activities are toxic for the Islamic Republic [of Iran]," Shahabnews added.
"Lately, the subscribers of 'first circuit' cell phones receive SMS in which Maryam Rajavi calls for people's uprisings against the ruling religious fascism…Also the subscribers are faced with defamatory remarks directed at the clergy," the website said.
Similar news was posted at state-owned Borna website on Saturday as saying, "Not long ago SMS with the same theme were sent to the Iran Cell subscribers."
The state-run media fearing the spread of such publicity campaigns by the supporters of the Iranian Resistance added, "Apparently, Maryam Rajavi has embarked on a fresh publicity campaign by opening new internet sites and satellite programs transmitting SMS from the websites to the countrywide cell phone circuits."
Two weeks ago, the clerical regime said, "Twenty individuals were arrested for engaging in publicity campaigns promoting the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) via SMS in Tehran."
The Iranian Resistance calls on all human rights organizations, in particular, the UN Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression and Opinion to condemn such suppressive measures adopted by the mullahs' regime and make every attempt to free the detainees.
