Iran: Names of 11 Arrested PMOI Supporters Whose Whereabouts and Status Remain Unknown

The UN, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Special Rapporteur must hold the regime accountable for the status of these individuals and visit their places of detention

Terrified of the rising tide of the uprising and the warm reception of rebellious youths and Resistance Units by the youth, the bloodthirsty dictatorship ruling Iran has resorted to widespread arrests, in parallel with continuous executions and pressure on the families and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). There is no information regarding the status and whereabouts of some of those arrested in May, June, and July, and they are inevitably being subjected to interrogation and torture. The names and details of some of them are as follows:

  1. Abolhasan Gholamreza-Nasab, 42, from Sarbaz, father of one. Arrested in Bam in May 2026.
  2. Ali-Akbar Karimi, 42, from Chenaran, electrician, married with two children. Arrested in Chenaran in May 2026.
  3. Amir-Hossein Baddaghi, 21, from Khoy, student at Tabriz University. Arrested in Urmia in May 2026.
  4. Mahmoud-Ali Arab, 20, from Azadshahr, Golestan province. Arrested in Azadshahr in May 2026.
  5. Ehsan Sahraei, 45, from Shahreza, married with two children. Arrested in Shahreza in May 2026.
  6. Alireza Dahmardeh, 18, from Ziba Shahr, Zahedan. Arrested in Zahedan in June 2026.
  7. Javad Behzadi, 34, from Firuzabad, Fars province, a tiler, father of two. Arrested in Bushehr in June 2026. His brother, Ehsan Behzadi (29), is also in prison.
  8. Ghazal Sayyadi, 38, from Tehran. Arrested in Andisheh (Tehran) in July 2026.
  9. Ashkan Mortazavi, 38, from Sarpol-e Zahab, holder of a bachelor’s degree, residing in Mohammadshahr, Karaj. Arrested in Karaj in July 2026.
  10. Benjamin Obaydi, 41, from Masal, Gilan province, holder of a PhD in Art, father of one. Arrested in Masal in July 2026.
  11. Amir-Aslan Mameneh, 20, from Ilam. Arrested in Ilam in July 2026. He had previously been arrested in September 2025.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the United Nations, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran to hold the regime accountable for the status and conditions of these detainees and to visit their places of detention.
