Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 404 Cities Surpasses 95,500

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on August 27, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 404 cities across Iran had exceeded 95,500. The number of victims in Khorasan Razavi is 6,741, Khuzestan 6,414, Mazandaran 4,623, Qom 4,535, Isfahan 4,295, Lorestan 4,072, Gilan 3,973, Sistan and Baluchestan 3,006, Alborz 2,753, Kermanshah 2,283, Kerman 1,522, Hormozgan 1,274, Bushehr 1,172, Zanjan 909, Qazvin 819, and Ilam 815.

Iraj Harirchi, the regime’s Deputy Health Minister, told the state TV, “If we run into the third wave of outbreak, the main difference this time around is that our medical, nursing, health and paramedical communities are tired and worn out.” He announced 164 medical staff have died due to Coronavirus and added that only on August 26, two medical staff died at the Revolutionary Guards Hospital in Tehran.

According to Mehr news agency, Qassem Jan-Babaei, Deputy Health Minister said yesterday, “Coronavirus continues to spread across the country. If we do not pay enough attention to this disease, the third Coronavirus wave will move more intensely.”
