Because of the catastrophic number of the Coronavirus victims due to the regime’s inhuman policies, and in fear of the people’s outrage against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the state-run daily, Resalat warned today, “The enemies and counter-revolutionary forces blame Khamenei for Coronavirus’s death toll. This could be dangerous, as they always try to weaken the Islamic Republic and … use all their efforts to target the head of the system (Khamenei) in crisis and challenges.”

At the same time, the state-run Hamedli newspaper wrote: “At a time when the death rate of COVID-19 patients in Iran has now reached a staggering 8% relative to the number of patients; and the death toll is breaking the record, security agencies estimate that at least during the coming four weeks given the (Muharram) morning ceremonies, and the movement of citizens by public transportation such as the subway, etc. will further increase infections and deaths, creating a security crisis in the country.”
