The alternative is a democratic and nuclear free Iran that will come about through the Iranian people and Resistance
NCRI – On Sunday, 12 April 2015, in a gathering on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the massacre of Ashraf residents of 8 April 2011, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, called on the United States and the United Nations that have numerously committed themselves in writing to the security and wellbeing of PMOI (MEK) members in Camp Liberty to take immediate measures to end the anti-human siege on Liberty and to guarantee the protection of the camp.
In this gathering at the headquarters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Auvers-sur-Oise where a number of French elected officials and supporters of the Iranian Resistance participated, speaking on the Lausanne statement, Rajavi said: This is a retreat by the regime out of fear and pressure, especially following the regional coalition against the occupation of Yemen by this regime, but a non-binding declaration of generalities that does not bear any signatures, does not enjoy the official endorsement of Khamenei, and without any assurances, will never prevent the regime’s from acquiring the bomb and stop its deceptions. She warned: “The Tehran regime wants to buy time. Continued negotiation with this religious fascism in a bid to appease it does not offer any security to the region or to the world from the threat of the nuclear bomb. The regime must be obliged to comply with the UN Security Council resolutions. This has been and remains the only way to prevent the mullahs from acquiring the bomb.”
She added: While the clerical regime is engulfed in domestic and external crises, it attempts to cover up its weakness and conversely depict itself as powerful by its aggressions in the region.
She stressed that the crimes committed by the mullahs in Iraq with the assistance of Maliki and in Syria with the help of Assad, led to the emergence of ISIS and warned that allying with this regime and its criminal militias in Iraq will only benefit ISIS. One cannot fight one extremism with the help of another extremism. Shiite fundamentalists and Sunni fundamentalists only buttress each other. In general, the answer to Islamic fundamentalism lies in the pure Islam that espouses democracy and tolerance. This Islam is represented by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Iran.
Rajavi said: The mullahs’ dictatorship has in fact become extremely feeble; the economic crisis is profound, social discontent is growing, the power struggle has disintegrated the power structure, and the nuclear negotiations have further undermined this tyranny.
Maryam Rajavi once again accentuated that ending the nuclear crisis and the threat of Islamic fundamentalism may only be realized through the overthrow of the religious fascism ruling Iran and that the alternative to this regime is a democratic and non-nuclear Iran that will come about through the Iranian people and their resistance.
