Iran: Brave Rebellious Youths Ali Hemmati and Majid Nik-Andish Executed as “Leaders” of Uprising in Tabarsi, Mashhad
- Maryam Rajavi: Call to the international community to stop executions, especially of political and uprising prisoners; these executions reveal the regime’s fear and aim to intimidate the public, but they only redouble the youth’s determination.
At dawn today, September 30, 2026, the henchmen of the religious fascist regime committed another brutal crime by executing two prisoners of the January 2026 uprising, the brave rebellious youths Ali Hemmati, 21, and Majid Nik-Andish, 25, in Mashhad.
The regime’s judiciary identified them as “leaders of the riots in Tabarsi, Mashhad,” claiming they were “field elements of the riots” in January that led to the deaths of “four security forces in the Tabarsi area of Mashhad.” The regime’s judiciary listed other charges including acting against national security, blocking streets by dumping truckloads of dirt, destroying and burning banks, using Molotov cocktails, confronting “security forces,” and “severe disruption of public order and security” (Mizan news agency – September 30, 2026).
“Security forces” is a euphemism for the criminal Revolutionary Guards and plainclothes agents who, during popular uprisings, particularly the January uprising, carried out killings on the orders of Ali Khamenei. They are the guardians of the security of the vile Velayat-e Faqih (clerical rule) regime.
Previously, on May 4, the regime’s judiciary announced the execution of three other brave rebellious youths, Mehdi Rasouli, Mohammadreza Miri, and Ebrahim Dowlat-Abadi, on charges of “leading and directing rioters” in Tabarsi, Mashhad. It stated: “Ebrahim Dowlat-Abadi, while present on Tabarsi Boulevard in Mashhad, led and directed rioters toward the Governor’s Office and the state television and radio, bringing with him about 250 to 300 rioters armed with machetes, which led to clashes with officers” and the death of “a number of security forces, destruction of a Basij base and a bank.”
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), saluted the brave rebellious youths in Mashhad and stated that these cruel executions show the ruling mullahs’ fear of the uprising and are intended to intimidate the people who have risen to overthrow the regime and achieve freedom. However, these bloodbaths will not only fail to save the crisis-ridden regime but will also redouble the determination of the brave youth of the homeland in their struggle. The day when those responsible for five decades of executions, massacres, crimes against humanity, and genocide face justice is not far off.
Mrs. Rajavi once again emphasized that the dossier of arbitrary executions and the brutal and systematic violation of human rights in Iran must be referred to the UN Security Council, and effective and immediate measures must be taken to stop the executions, especially of political prisoners and prisoners of the uprising. The ruling religious fascism considers the inaction of the international community as a green light to continue its crimes and killings.
