Anti-government demonstration by more than 3,000 students in Tehran University despite suppressive m

NCRI – Despite suppressive measures by the State Security Force and agents of Ministry of Intelligence, around 1,500 university students staged an anti-government protest about noon in front of Technical College of Tehran University. The number of students grew rapidly to 3,000.

While the suppressive forces prevented the students from entering the University, the protestors broke the gate in the 16th of Azar Street and entered the main campus.

The students chanted, "Death to dictator," "student will die but will not surrender, "We continue our struggle," "Courageous students, rise up" .   

Simultaneous with Tehran, the situation in universities in other cities is tense.  Students of Ferdowsi University in Mashad and Shiraz University have also staged anti-government demonstrations.
