18 executions, including one woman, on Sunday, December 15, and 9 executions on Wednesday, December 18

At least 638 prisoners, including 22 women, executed during Pezeshkian’s tenure

On Wednesday, December 18, Khamenei’s henchmen executed nine prisoners: Hassan Yousofi, Majid Jamshidi, Sohrab Ahmadipour, Abdolbari Pakouhi, Farzad Norouzi, and Rastgooie Kandelaj in Qezelhessar Prison; Mohammad Shams, 36, in Hamedan; and Jamal Nabooreh and Rahim Barin in Mahabad. Rahim Barin was executed for allegedly killing a regime agent.

On Monday, December 16, Behzad Seyedi Boukani was executed in Miandoab, and on Sunday, December 15, in a brutal massacre, at least 18 prisoners, including one woman, were hanged by Khamenei’s executioners. The execution of 11 of them had been announced in a previous statement. In addition to these, Karim Eslami and Najaf Rahmani were executed in Yazd, Hamzeh Mirzapour in Gorgan, Ghorban Razi and Mohammad Kasraei in Tabriz, Ali Morad Dehqani in Nahavand, and Hadi Mollakazemi in Semnan.

As a result, the death toll from the regime’s execution machine during Massoud Pezeshkian’s tenure since July has reached at least 638, including 22 women.

Facing internal and external crises, and as the fall of the Syrian dictator has disrupted Khamenei’s and his regime’s balance, leaving him fearful of a similar fate, he has resorted to widespread executions and massacres on one hand, and accelerating the pursuit of nuclear weapons on the other. This regime of executions and massacres, the godfather of terrorism and warmongering, must be rejected by the international community, and its leaders must be brought to justice.
