Iran: 32 Prisoners Executed on January 21 and 24

On Saturday, January 24, the clerical regime’s henchmen hanged 11 prisoners. The regime’s judiciary announced that Amanj Karvanchi and Arsalan (Abdolrahman) Sheikhi were hanged on charges of ‘baghy’ (armed rebellion) for their membership in ISIS (State-run Mizan news agency, January 24, 2026). Arsalan Sheikhi was arrested in September 2023 along with his wife, Nasimeh Islam-Zehi, who is currently imprisoned in the women’s ward of Evin Prison.

The other nine prisoners hanged on Saturday were identified as: Najafali Sagvand in Khorramabad, Ariyo Emami in Karaj, Reza Goudarzi in Aligudarz, Safi Abdoli in Dezful, Shayan Nourmohammadi in Hamedan, a prisoner named Jafarzadeh in Sanandaj, Amin Motamedi in Yasuj, Mostafa Mohammadi in Nahavand, and Nariman Kheradmand in Kermanshah. On Thursday, January 22, Nariman Sohrabi in Bojnourd and Abdullah Panjshiri in Taybad were also hanged.

On Wednesday, January 21, another 21 prisoners were executed. The victims were: Momen Abdipour in Mahshahr; Ashkan Kahar and another prisoner in Rasht; Jalal Papi in Nowshahr; Shahoo Safari in Sanandaj; Touraj Rashidi in Esfarayen; Houshang Maleki in Ferdows; Mohammad Karim Najafi and Amir Moghadam in Qezelhesar Prison; Saeed Javan in Damghan; Jamshid Khanzadeh in Shahrekord; Jabbar Ganji in Chabahar; Nabiollah Kaabi in Bushehr; Siavash Arabi in Kashmar; Soltan Morad Sharafinia in Sabzevar; Avat Amiri in Mahabad; Valikaram Souri in Khorramabad; Kiarash Dinari in Malayer; and Mousa Sadri, Afshin Mohammadi, and another prisoner in Shiraz.
