  • At least 47 executions over the first 10 days of June bring the total under Pezeshkian’s tenure to over 1,330

  • Detainee tortured to death at the Intelligence Office in Andimeshk

While Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei has set an unprecedented record for executing prisoners, on Tuesday, June 10, the criminal cleric Asadollah Jafari, Head of Isfahan Province Judiciary, announced another act of cruelty: “The sentence of hand amputation for two thieves… was carried out” (State-run ISNA News Agency – June 10).

This barbaric punishment was imposed despite the fact that Khamenei, his inner circle, and other regime leaders are the greatest thieves in Iran’s history. Over the past four decades, they have plundered the Iranian people’s wealth—amounting to thousands of billions of dollars—or wasted it on repression, anti-Iranian nuclear projects, warfare, and exporting terrorism to maintain the decaying rule of the mullahs.

Meanwhile, the regime’s judiciary announced the execution of nine ISIS members accused of planning “sabotage and terrorist” operations in 2017. However, the regime has not disclosed their names, execution location, or other details. The IRGC Ground Forces commander had previously stated that in a “military operation” involving the Guards in 2017, several of them, as well as three others from the Najaf Headquarters, were killed. (Mizan News Agency – June 9, 2025).

As part of the recent wave of executions:

  • On Monday, June 9, five prisoners—Abdolbaset Shahdadzehi (25) and Abdolsamad Barahouei in Zahedan and Iranshahr, as well as Saman Khorrami, Karim Hemmati (30), and Hamzeh Yari (30) in Karaj—were hanged.
  • On Sunday, June 8, agents of the clerical regime’s intelligence department tortured and killed Saman Mirdoraghi at the Intelligence Office in Andimeshk. He had been arrested on June 2 in his shop in Andimeshk.
  • Also on Sunday, June 8, Rahim Karimi (32) was executed in Qaen prison.
  • On Saturday, June 7, Hossein Mirbaluchzehi (25) was hanged in Iranshahr, and Davoud Alinejad in Arak.
  • On Wednesday, June 4, Ahmadollah Esmaeili was executed in Ghezel Hesar prison.
  • On Tuesday, June 3, five prisoners were hanged: Behnam Ghaffari (31) in Yasuj; Shoaib Abdolhaq Mohammadi (23) in Taybad; Gholi Faramarzi in Tabriz; and two other inmates mentioned in a previous statement.
  • On Monday, June 2, sixteen prisoners were executed: Habib Almasi (35) and Jebreil Hashemzadeh (30) in Isfahan; Afshin Yari in Malayer; Yasin Aghaei, Sajad Nabizadeh, and Ali Kheradmand (31) in Ghezel Hesar; along with ten others named in an earlier statement.
  • On Sunday, June 1, eight prisoners were executed, including a woman named Masoumeh Karbakhsh (39) in Kerman; Shahab Khalfi and Karim Shah Mohammadi in Qom; and five others whose names were previously published.

Thus, the confirmed total number of executions between June 1 and June 10 is at least 47. The cumulative number of executions under Masoud Pezeshkian’s tenure now exceeds 1,330.
