
On May 18, imprisoned cleric Mr. Kazemeini Boroujerdi, was denied family visit in Evin prison. Mr. Kazemeini Boroujerdi had called for boycotting the Iranian regime’s sham election. Since he made the call there is no news of his whereabouts.
On the same day, the Iranian regime’s State Security Forces in Golestan province raided people’s homes and confiscated satellite dishes installed on rooftops. The repressive measures were carried out in a number cities of the province including Gorgan, Gonbad, Azadshahr and Kordkouy.
The Iranian regime’s Cyberpolice also shut down a number of Internet cafes in various cities across Iran including Bojnourd, on the charges of not following stated rules by this suppressive organ in order to impose censorship and repression.
On May 21, simultaneous with the disqualification of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, SMS message service in Tehran was shutdown.
The day before, the web-based telephone services had been disrupted.
