Iran: Mullahs’ bizarre stage-managed show in Gorgan Prison

Iran: Mullahs’ bizarre stage-managed show in Gorgan PrisonNCRI – In a bizarre stage-managed show the mullahs’ regime took "a special delegation of the United Nations" from the UNESCO office in Tehran to Gorgan Prison, northeastern Iran. The visit was reported by the state-run news agency IRNA on 21 July.

This absurd stage-managed show is a cover-up for the deteriorating state of the regime’s prisons and dungeons and is a rehash of a similar display in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison on June 14.

Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said in this regard, “If the mullahs were true to their words, they should have allowed an independent international delegation, comprised of United Nations rapporteurs, human rights specialists, representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross and representatives of the Iranian Resistance, to visit Evin and other prisons – something which the Iranian Resistance has called for repeatedly.”
