Iran: 10 Executions in One Day, at Least 19 Executions, Including Three Women in Four Days


Khamenei’s henchmen hanged ten prisoners, including a woman, in Gohar Dasht, Qarchak, Varamin, and Tehran prisons on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Eight of these prisoners were hanged in Gohar Dasht Prison, six of whom are Ramin Arab, Abbas Bitarafan, Vahid Mianabadi, Gholam-Hossein Zeinali, Ali Nosrati, and Ali Montazeri. Ramin Arab was taken to the gallows from the hospital.

On the same day, a female prisoner named Laden Molla-Saeedi and a prisoner with R-A’s initials were also hanged in Qarchak Prison in Varamin and Tehran, respectively.

On May 23, regime henchmen hanged a female prisoner in Amol Prison and another prisoner in Zanjan Prison. Mohammad Sorkhru and Mossadegh Mallahi from Minab and another prisoner named Abbas Kamali from Jask were hanged in Minab Prison on the same day.

On May 22, another woman named Hayati and a Baloch prisoner named Abdul Bari Rigi were hanged in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. In addition, the 29-year-old prisoner named Elias-Q, and Mohammad Morad Fazeli, 37, from Shirvan, were hanged in Mashhad’s Vakilabad and Shirvan Prisons, respectively.

The clerical regime has resorted to increasing executions in fear of spreading widespread protests to intimidate the public.
