Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, strongly condemned the extradition of Behzad Khosravi, a Kurdish asylum seeker and member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, from Sulaymaniya to the religious fascism ruling Iran.

Mrs. Rajavi urged the United Nations and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq to denounce this criminal act, which is a blatant violation of the principle of non-refoulement, and take steps to return him to his family in Sulaymaniya, where he has legal residency. She emphasized that those responsible for this extradition should be brought to justice and measures must be taken to prevent the recurrence of such tragedies.
