Orchestration and abuse of the execution and mass killing regime from the trip of the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights aimed at justifying and perpetuating oppression and crimes against humanity
For years, the Iranian Resistance has consistently called for the visit of special United Nations rapporteurs to the prisons and prisoners of the mullahs’ regime, especially women prisoners and political prisoners, and auditing the regime’s judiciary. This demand is the collective voice of the Iranian people and all prisoners and their families.
Now, in the midst of executions, the execution and mass killing regime, in a dirty trick, has seized the opportunity with the acceptance of the trip by the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights to bury and continue its crimes against humanity. This regime has been condemned 70 times in the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council for its horrific and systematic human rights violations.
Currently, thousands of prisoners are under death sentences in the prisons of this regime. The top officials of the regime, including the Supreme Leader, the President, the Speaker of the Parliament, and many judicial authorities, have been continuously involved in crimes against humanity over the past 45 years, including the mass execution of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988. The genocide, export of terrorism, and warmongering by the ruling mullahs of Iran are undeniable.
The acceptance of the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights visit is occurring, despite repeated requests from the United Nations General Assembly and the Human Rights Council, UN special rapporteurs on the human rights situation in Iran (Professor Maurice Danby Copithorne, Professor Ahmed Shaheed, Professor Asma Jahangir, and Dr. Javaid Rehman) have not been granted permission to visit Iran for 28 years.
In such conditions, the visit of a UN official is inevitably limited to a series of meetings with the leaders of the regime, who themselves play the greatest role in violating human rights, or it involves inspections and scenarios orchestrated and arranged by executioners and criminals. This opportunity allows the ‘executioner’ to increase pressure on the ‘victim’ in the next step and further intensify suppression and crimes.
This trip can be fruitful only if the United Nations compels the mullahs’ regime in advance to be accountable and committed to a series of fundamental issues and the freedom of action of its envoys is guaranteed without any restrictions on visiting anywhere, anytime, with anyone, and in any prison. These fundamental issues include responding to the following questions and similar issues:
– The number of political prisoners executed and the number who have died under torture so far;
– Names of political prisoners executed in 1988 based on Khomeini’s decree and their burial places;
– The number and names of martyrs of the uprisings in 2009, 2017, 2019, and 2022, and their burial places;
– The number, names, locations, and conditions of political prisoners, especially women;
– The mass graves of executed political prisoners and the number and names of those buried;
– The number and locations of safe houses and unofficial prisons affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence, the Revolutionary Guards, the State Security Force (SSF), and other repressive organs;
– Acceptance of regular and periodic visits by the UN special rapporteur and representatives of the International Red Cross and other international human rights defenders to prisons and political prisoners, especially political women prisoners, without any exceptions.

The Iranian Resistance is ready to send its representatives in any number and under any conditions that the United Nations and the High Commissioner for Human Rights want to accompany them on their trip to Iran in order to prevent the regime’s deceptions. There is no doubt that the execution and massacre regime will try to use all means and tricks to abuse the organs, reporters, and mechanisms of the United Nations in the service of justifying its crimes against the Iranian people.
Therefore, we must not allow the “betrayal of human rights” to be repeated, as it happened in 1989 under the presidency of Akbar Rafsanjani. The expectation of the Iranian people and all advocates of freedom and human rights from the United Nations is to put the leaders of the regime, especially Ali Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi, and Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’i, on trial for four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.
