Cancellation of Leaves Until September 27 Out of Fear of Discontent and Uprising
For the awareness and vigilance of the rebellious youths and the fighting forces of the Iranian Democratic Revolution
The following are the regime’s measures to counter the uprising:
1- To control Greater Tehran during this period, the regime has deployed 51,000 suppressive forces, including 21,000 from the State Security Force (SSF) and 30,000 from the IRGC and Basij.
2- Motorized parades in Tehran and other cities are being held under the title of ‘War Week’ to maintain a high level of military and security presence.
3- Troop concentrations of the IRGC, Basij, and SSF have been established in main squares and secondary locations in Tehran and major cities to handle emergency situations.
4- Motorized patrols conduct body searches of pedestrians on sidewalks and at traffic lights, checking mobile phones to identify ‘barandazan’ (those seeking to overthrow the regime) and taking some of them.
5- New detention centers have been set up in remote and uninhabited areas for potential arrests, based on the experiences of previous uprisings.
6- Hossein Taeb, head of the Basij, is seeking to expand forces and recruit as many Basijis as possible from among the unemployed by offering increased salaries and various benefits, especially in Tehran.
7- A joint plan by Taeb and Hassanzadeh, commander of the IRGC in Greater Tehran, has been launched to reinforce plainclothes forces.
8- The IRGC and SSF have introduced new anti-riot equipment to security and law enforcement units, and training for mastering the use of the new equipment began a month ago.
9- Increases in salaries, bonuses, and mission pay for the SSF, IRGC, and intelligence forces have been implemented to incentivize their presence at the scene of protests.
10- A 100% alert status for the Army, IRGC, Basij, and SSF, along with the cancellation of leaves, has been communicated until midnight on September 27. However, it will be extended and reinstated whenever necessary, depending on social conditions and political developments.
