Iran: 13 More Slain Protesters Identified, Raising Confirmed Toll to 44

Razavi Khorasan’s Deputy Governor Admits Security Forces Killed Five Protesters in Chenaran; Seven Teenagers Among the Slain

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced the names of 13 more martyrs of the nationwide Iran uprising on Thursday, January 8, after their identities were confirmed. This brings the number of confirmed martyrs killed on the path to freedom to 44. They were killed in recent days by direct fire from the criminal Revolutionary Guards and the suppressive forces loyal to the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The newly identified martyrs were from the cities of Khoshkbijar (Gilan), Lordegan (Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari), Azna (Lorestan), Malekshahi (Ilam), Qom, and Neyshabur (Razavi Khorasan).

Seven of these martyrs were from the city of Lordegan in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. They were killed in a brutal attack by Khamenei’s agents on January 7. Among them are a woman and two teenagers, aged 16 and 17.

The Deputy Governor of Razavi Khorasan admitted on state television today that on January 7, five protesters were killed by suppressive forces in Chenaran. The names of these martyrs will be announced subsequently.
