Iran: 20 Acts of Resistance by Defiant Youth in Tehran and 13 Other Cities in Response to the Execution of Five Political Prisoners

In response to the new wave of executions, particularly the execution of five political prisoners, defiant youth carried out 20 courageous operations on Thursday, April 10, 2025, targeting centers of repression and looting, as well as regime symbols, setting them ablaze in Tehran and 13 other cities.

Amid escalating domestic and international crises, Ali Khamenei has launched a fresh wave of executions. Between April 7 and April 10, 2025, a total of 33 prisoners, including three women, were hanged.

During these bold operations, the following centers were set on fire:

  • A base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Bushehr
  • Four Basij (IRGC-affiliated) centers in Tehran, Mashhad, Kerman, and Hamedan
  • A judiciary-affiliated center in Kiar (Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province)
  • Rajaii State Security Force (SSF) garrison located in Kermanshah
  • Two crime centers, referred to as seminaries, in Tehran
  • A governmental hub of oppression and exploitation in Filabad (Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province)
  • A regime-linked center of corruption and looting in Kohgiluyeh

As part of this campaign, billboards, signs, and government banners bearing images of Khomeini, Khamenei, Raisi, and Qassem Soleimani were also set ablaze in Tehran, Kerman, Kermanshah, Ilam, Nishapur, Birjand, Semnan, and Malayer.
