
From Saturday, November 15, to Tuesday, November 18, 2025, various segments of the population in Tehran and cities across Iran expressed their anger and disgust with poverty, corruption, high prices, oppression, and the regime’s plundering policies by holding widespread gatherings and strikes.
Tuesday, November 18:
Families of prisoners sentenced to death held protest gatherings in several cities, coinciding with the 95th week of the ‘No to Execution Tuesdays’ campaign, during which prisoners in 54 prisons across the country went on a hunger strike. Holding pictures of their children, they chanted ‘No to execution’ and ‘Do not execute our children.’
On the same day, oil industry retirees gathered in front of the Ministry of Oil building in Tehran. The people of Ben and Saman counties in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari protested the lack of water rights allocation. Various groups of people and students in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad rallied against the construction of the plundering Khersan-3 and Mandegan dams, chanting, ‘Our disgrace, our disgrace, is our worthless official.’ Additionally, a group of people in Harsin protested in front of the regime’s governor’s office over the 40-year uncertainty regarding their lands, and residents of the Farhangian neighborhood in Robat Karim protested against the installation of a telecommunications tower in a park.
Monday, November 17:
Telecommunication retirees gathered in at least 16 cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Kermanshah, Rasht, Tabriz, Sanandaj, and Khorramabad, to protest the plundering of their pensions. In Tehran, they chanted: ‘The Revolutionary Guards have devoured our rights.’
In Chabahar, workers of the Farasahel Lian company went on strike and held a rally to protest their job situation.
Sunday, November 16:
Social Security retirees gathered in Tehran, Ahvaz, Shush, Kermanshah, and Rasht, with chants such as ‘We won’t live under oppression, we’ll sacrifice our lives for freedom,’ ‘Neither the parliament nor the government cares for the nation,’ and ‘High prices, inflation, theft from the people’s pockets.’ In Isfahan, steel industry retirees protested with the slogan ‘Reformist, hardliner, both are enemies of the retirees,’ and in Kharg Island, employees of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company held a protest gathering.
Saturday, November 15:
Employees of the South Pars Gas Complex in Asaluyeh held coordinated protest gatherings at nine of the complex’s refineries, demanding their grievances be addressed. In Khuzestan, contract security forces at the Yadavaran oil field in West Karun also protested their poor living and working conditions.
