Iran: Resistance Units Conduct 40 Operations Across Tehran and 20 Cities to Honor Martyrs of the 2022 Uprising
- Targeted strikes against IRGC, Basij, and intelligence centers
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, despite a nationwide state of high alert declared by the regime’s repressive forces, the Resistance Units carried out 40 daring operations in Tehran and 20 other cities—including Mashhad, Karaj, Ahvaz, Qom, Kermanshah, Sari, Arak, Yazd, Zanjan, Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Zahedan, Semnan, Birjand, Neyshabur, Sabzevar, Saveh, Babol, Bam, and Iranshahr—in commemoration of the martyrs of the 2022 nationwide uprising. This series of operations served as a decisive response to the baseless claims made by the regime’s security and law enforcement commanders, including the criminal commander of the State Security Force (SSF), Ahmad-Reza Radan, regarding their alleged control of the situation and the supposed arrests of the PMOI members.
The targeted centers and institutions of repression included:
– Explosions at two Basij bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Mashhad and the torching of Basij bases in the cities of Bam and Iranshahr.
– Molotov cocktail attacks against centers of repression disguised as religious seminaries in Mashhad and Kermanshah.
– Destruction by fire of signboards belonging to the IRGC’s spy and informant headquarters in Tehran and Bushehr.
– Destruction by fire of signboards belonging to the Ministry of Intelligence’s spy headquarters in Tehran and Iranshahr.
Furthermore, throughout this campaign, symbols, billboards, and images of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, Mojtaba Khamenei, and Qassem Soleimani were torched across various cities.
