Sanctions hurt Iranian regime’s spare parts manufacturing

Iran NCRI – The cost of obtaining credit and transporting and importing raw materials has increased significantly as a result of international sanctions against the Iranian regime, according to a regime official in the parts manufacturing industry.

According to the state-run Abrar daily, a member of the governing committee of the regime’s parts industry said, “Currently, it’s not possible to purchase raw materials from European countries.”

The regime official, introduced as Behnia, admitted that there are higher costs associated with importing the materials required for the industry from third countries such as China and Turkey.

“In such circumstances, it’s not possible to raise prices of spare parts, and this may lead to diminishing production of certain parts,” he added.

Behnia said acquiring the required material to continue production presents the foremost challenge for the regime.
