Ebrahim Raeesi, the First Deputy of the mullahs’ Judiciary, said, “When a sentence becomes final by the judge about cutting off a hand, it must be implemented.”
He added, “Sentences for amputating hands were implemented in the past and are not only carried out today.”
In 1988, Raeesi was a part of a three-member “death committee” when the regime carried out a massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in the span of a few months, most of whom were supporters of the main opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
