Mullahs’ regime fires 46 striking Tehran transit workersNCRI – Desperate in the face of protests and strikes by Tehran’s transit workers, the clerical regime, issued orders to dismiss 46 activists in a bid to stem the continuation and the spread of their protest actions.

Thousands of Tehran’s transit workers have been staging a protest for the past two months against the regimes’ repressive measures, demanding the restoration of their rights. The regime’s suppressive forces have arrested more than 1,200 workers in the past few weeks, beating and injuring many of them.

Mr. Abbas Davari, The Labor Committee Chair of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, lauded the workers for staging the courageous strike and protest and urged the Iranian people to support the transit workers. Mr. Davari also called on labor unions, human rights organizations and labor rights advocates the world over to condemn the barbaric crackdown on Iranian workers and toilers.
