Unprecedented Acceleration of Executions in Fear of Popular Uprising

Khamenei’s executioners, gripped by fear of a public outburst, have drastically accelerated the pace of executions. On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, eight prisoners were sent to the gallows: Akbar Sheikhi, 25 years old, in Hamedan; Abdollah Pashtavi; Salahoddin Amoudi; Akbar Mousa (Mousavi); Mohammad-Ali Naseri; Amanollah Barahouei; and two other prisoners in Ghezel Hesar prison.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, six prisoners were executed by the regime’s judiciary executioners. In addition to the names released in a previous statement, Yarali Mahmoudvand in Yazd and Reza Tabarteh Farahani in Arak were hanged. On Monday, April 21, 2025, eight other prisoners, including Ali Morad Kakaei in Gonabad, were executed.

Thus, in the past three days, at least 22 prisoners were executed—equivalent to one execution every 3.5 hours.

The inhuman mullahs’ regime vainly attempts to prevent the people’s uprising and resistance through executions and brutality. However, every execution further fuels the flames of public anger.
