The regime’s judiciary has once again confirmed and handed down a death sentence to political prisoner Reza Abdali in Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz, on charges of supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). He was first sentenced to death and 15 years in prison in July 2025.

Reza was arrested in Ahvaz in February 2025 and subjected to interrogation and torture. He is currently held in Ward 8 of Sheiban Prison. He is 35 years old, born in Ahvaz, and is from the Daghaghaleh tribe in Ahvaz, who are our Arab compatriots.

The Iranian Resistance once again calls on the United Nations, the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, and other relevant institutions and rapporteurs to take urgent action to save the life of Reza Abdali and other prisoners on death row, especially political prisoners.
