The 95th week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign saw continued protests across 54 Iranian prisons, as activists, prisoners, and families once again called for an end to the regime’s use of the death penalty.
In its latest statement, the campaign reiterated its commitment to resisting the Iranian government’s machinery of repression:
“We once again emphasize our pledge to stand against the machine of state repression and killing, recalling the lives lost in the November 2019 uprising—over 1,500 women, men, and adolescents who sacrificed their lives for freedom.”

The statement condemned recent judicial decisions, highlighting the approval of death sentences for three political prisoners in Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz: Alireza Mardasi, Farshad Etemadifar, and Masoud Jamei. The campaign noted that these sentences “once again reveal the depth of cruelty and normalization of judicial and security violence against protesters and citizens.”
The statement also pointed to alarming statistics from recent weeks:
“In the past week, a prisoner was executed in a public, medieval-style execution, and the number of executions since the beginning of Aban (23 October 2025) has exceeded 250—a shocking figure that demonstrates the catastrophic scale of crimes and repression in Iran.”
Highlighting the central role of collective solidarity, the campaign stressed:
“We, the people, are the only support and shield for prisoners against the noose. We call on all freedom-loving Iranians, in every city and neighborhood, by any means possible, to raise their voices against this horrifying wave of executions. We must stand by the families who, week after week, protest with courage and sorrow outside prisons and judicial institutions. Only through solidarity and collective protest can this machine of killing be stopped.”
On Nov. 10, political prisoners in Evin Prison protested after a violent raid by prison guards who stormed Hall 2 of Ward 7 to transfer two death-row prisoners, Ehsan Afreshteh and Mehdi Farid, for execution.

The statement listed the 54 prisons participating in the 95th week of protests, where prisoners continued their hunger strikes, including notable facilities such as Evin Prison, Ghezel Hesar, Sheiban and Sepidar in Ahvaz, and prisons in Shiraz, Mashhad, Tehran, and Tabriz.
The “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign remains a powerful symbol of resistance against the Iranian regime’s death penalty apparatus, keeping alive the memory of victims of repression and demanding justice, freedom, and equality for all.
