• Merkel: Iran’s ‘Aggression’ In Middle East Must Be Countered

AMMAN, June 21 (Reuters): Measures are needed to counter Iran’s “aggressive tendencies” in the Middle East, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Thursday after talks in Jordan with King Abdullah.

The Jordanian monarch said that peace in the region could only take place once the Palestinians have a state with Jerusalem as its capital.

• Lebanon minister moves to calm dispute over Iranian passport stamps

Lebanon’s interior minister tried on Wednesday to calm a dispute over a change in rules for entering the country, which some politicians feared reflects deepening influence of Iran and its ally Hezbollah.

The staunchly anti-Hezbollah Lebanese Forces, a Christian party, slammed the passport directive as an attempt to help Iran send more forces to neighbouring Syria or move money to Hezbollah despite U.S. sanctions.

Tehran and Hezbollah give critical support to the Syrian military in the seven-year conflict next door.

• Khamenei objects Iran’s joining anti-terror treaty

Iranian regime’s Leader Ali Khamenei announced his objection of Iran’s joining an International treaty put forward by the global Financial Action Task Force “FATF”.

In a speech to members of parliament on Wednesday, Ali Khamenei advised them to prepare their own draft law. The Iranian parliament has failed last month to pass a law based on requirements by the global Financial Action Task Force “FATF” to fight money laundering and financing terror.

• Iranian regime is arming the Houthis, according to UAE

The United Arab Emirates presented evidence on Tuesday that the Iranian Regime is supporting the Houthi militia in Yemen, where the UAE is part of the Arab Coalition fighting against the militia to restore the Yemeni government.

• Workers Of Iran National Steel Industrial Group staged a protest gathering

On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, a group of workers of Iran National Steel Industrial Group, gathered in front of the Supreme Leader’s office in Ahvaz, and called for the release of their detained colleagues.

In addition to the freedom of their colleagues, the protesting workers also demand the determination of the company’s situation. One of the workers explained the status of salary payments by the company, and said that so far the workers have only received the salaries of April and their May salary has not yet been paid.

• Strike of Heavy Vehicle Drivers in Khuzestan, Iran For Fourth Consecutive Day

On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, truck and heavy vehicle drivers in the province of Khuzestan started their fourth day of strike, demanding an increase in their salaries.

The strike of the drivers of Khuzestan province continues in areas such as Alvan, Shavur, Shush, and Juhi, as they stated that they will continue to protest until their needs are met.

So far, 150 truck and heavy vehicle drivers are still on strike and demanding for their rights.

• People Protest Against Khuzestan Water And Sewage Office In Abadan, Iran

On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, dozens of people in Abadan, Iran, gathered in front of Khuzestan Water and Sewage Office, the water department of the city and protested against the salinity of drinking water and the lack of fresh water and its unsanitary conditions.

The protesters chanted:

– Shameless Governor, where are you?

– People of Abadan, support us, support us

Protesters also said, “We’re paying the bill for salt water.”
