How A Women-Led Resistance Can End Iran’s Nuclear Threat
At the start of this year, the International Atomic Energy Agency warned that the Islamic Republic of Iran was “pressing the gas pedal” on its nuclear activities. In response to its latest censure by the IAEA’s board of governors, the Iranian regime announced plans to expand its nuclear facilities in ways that would further accelerate the pace of its uranium enrichment. This came after more than four years of those facilities enriching the material to 60% fissile purity, putting some of Iran’s stockpiles just a short technical step away from weapons grade.
The pending upgrades threaten to narrow Iran’s “breakout time” for nuclear weapons capability. Furthermore, recent intelligence reports have revealed the existence of another clandestine Iranian program to develop nuclear warheads. The window of opportunity for halting Iran’s progress toward nuclear breakout is rapidly closing, and Western powers must take decisive action now.

From Andrew Tate to Tehran, We Must Fight Misogyny on International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day has been a beacon of gender equality for more than 100 years – but today it feels more important than ever because, make no mistake, misogyny is on the rise. And it’s not a wolf-whistle, pinch-your-a*** misogyny; it’s much more deeply hidden and thus much more sinister.
The rise of Andrew Tate and his women-hating, women-abusing followers is not an aberration, it’s cast-iron proof of where we are. It is no surprise that a new survey carried out to mark International Women’s Day today showed 64% of UK adults think misogyny is a problem. And three in ten consider it a very serious one. And they are right.
Haunting Audio Message of Defiant Dad Who Faces Execution in Iran As He Exposes Torture & Hellhole Jail Abuse
A DAD set to be executed in Iran has blasted its brutal regime in a powerful voice message recorded behind bars.
Mehdi Hassani, 48, was handed a death sentence on trumped-up charges and has been tortured in jail. He now faces imminent execution after his appeal to be spared death was rejected by Iran’s merciless rulers.
But defiant Hassani has unleashed a blistering put down of Iran’s “cruelty and oppression” in a voice message to his daughter Maryam that has been shared with The Sun.
The dad-of-three said: “This regime has for the past 46 years spent the country’s wealth on warmongering and suppressing the people of Iran.
“If I’m in prison today and have been sentenced to execution, it is only because I could not tolerate seeing such cruelty and oppression against this nation and against the children of my land, and I stood up against oppression.
Minister Joly Announces Additional Sanctions against Iran
Today, the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that Canada is imposing new sanctions under the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations against Iranian individuals and entities who have engaged in gross human rights violations against Iranian civilians and destabilizing activities in the Middle East region and globally that undermine international peace, security or stability in a manner that is consistent with the policies of Iran.
The Iranian regime continues to demonstrate blatant disregard for human rights, systematically oppressing its own people and spreading instability beyond its borders. From the brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters to the arbitrary detention and execution of dissidents, Iran’s leaders persist in silencing voices of freedom with violence and fear. These egregious violations extend beyond their domestic population, as the regime supports terror groups and threatens regional and global security.

- “Pezeshkian, you hold the record for executions! Get out of Tehran province cities!”
- “Pezeshkian, resign! You are not welcome in Tehran province!”
Impeachment of Cabinet Minister Reveals Scope of Iran’s Fuel Smuggling
In the days leading up to the impeachment of Iranian regime oil minister Abdolnasser Hemmati, regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei inadvertently revealed a clue regarding the dispute over the smuggling of millions of liters of fuel. He brought up the issue of fuel smuggling at every opportunity, with or without introduction, saying, “Twenty million liters of diesel are smuggled daily. Now, the question is, who is taking this huge volume of reserves out of the country? It’s not like someone can carry diesel across the border by hand or in small barrels. This volume of smuggling requires an extensive network, so it needs to be determined who is involved in this cycle.”
The Iranian regime president, Masoud Pezeshkian, in an attempt to increase the stakes in the impeachment battle, pointed out that “Diesel is not a commodity that can be easily collected from the market and smuggled. This volume of transfer requires an extensive transportation chain that must be stopped…” (Jamaran news website, February 26, 2025).
209 Iranian Regime Lawmakers Call for Enforcement of Controversial Chastity and Hijab Law
209 members of the Iranian regime’s parliament have signed a petition urging Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to enforce the controversial Chastity and Hijab law. The request, made on March 4, has sparked widespread reactions and criticism.
Notably, this move by members of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) came just one day before UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk called for the complete and permanent abolition of Iran’s mandatory hijab law and other discriminatory regulations against women. This timing once again highlights the stark divide between the policies of the Iranian regime and international human rights demands.
Low Wages Fail to Attract Workers; Labor Shortage Crisis in Iran
As the gap between income and the cost of living widens in Iran, experts point to the lack of appeal in job offers for job seekers and workers. They report that many companies are currently in need of labor, but workers are unwilling to accept jobs with current wages.
According to the state-run ILNA news agency, Hamidreza Ghaznavi, Secretary-General of the Iranian Entrepreneurs Association, stated on Thursday, March 6: “Today, we face a labor shortage in our industry. At one time, we ranked second or third globally in terms of labor cost competitiveness, but we have completely lost this advantage.”
According to him, it is not economically viable for workers to accept these jobs at such low wages.
Tehran to Become a “Semi-Arid Region” in the Next Decade
Mehdi Zare, a professor at the International Institute of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering, warned that Tehran is on the “brink of drought.” He stated that the drilling of more than 32,000 illegal wells in Tehran province is a major factor contributing to this situation, and that Tehran will become a “semi-arid region” within the next decade. In an interview with the state-run Khabar Online news agency, published on Friday, March 7, Zare emphasized: “The Alborz region and Tehran are currently experiencing the depletion of surface and groundwater resources, turning the water crisis into a socio-economic challenge in some areas, with signs of hydrological and socio-economic drought.”
Zare pointed out that water levels in Tehran’s dams have fallen below 40% of their capacity. He added, “30% of the city’s water is lost due to leaks in the deteriorating pipeline network.”
The United States Reviews All Sanctions Waivers on Iran
The Trump administration is reviewing all existing sanctions waivers that provide any level of economic relief to the Iranian regime.
Tammy Bruce, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, stated that the United States is reviewing all current sanctions waivers that provide any degree of economic opportunity to the Iranian regime. On Thursday, March 6, during a press conference in Washington, Bruce made this announcement and urged the Iraqi government to end its dependence on Iranian energy sources as soon as possible.
She made this statement in response to a question about whether the United States would extend the sanctions waiver that allows Iraq to pay for imported electricity from Iran.
Political Prisoner Kianoush Cheraghi Goes on Hunger Strike to Protest Illegal Transfer
Kianoush Cheraghi, a resident of Dehloran, was arrested on February 16, 2025 and transferred to the Border Guard Headquarters in Dehloran. His wife confirmed the news through her personal social media account. The arrest followed the revocation of his electronic monitoring (ankle bracelet) order. Security forces raided his home on the day of the arrest, using excessive force to detain him. During his transfer to Ilam prison, Cheraghi was subjected to severe physical assault, resulting in injuries to his jaw and knee and the breaking of one of his teeth.
Despite his significant injuries, Ilam prison officials denied him access to medical treatment. When he requested medical care, prison authorities dismissed his request with indifference, reportedly saying, “Was anyone even violent toward you?”
Deterioration of Vahid Chavaran’s Health in Ilam Prison and Lack of Medical Care
Judicial and prison authorities in Ilam have effectively subjected political prisoner Vahid Chavaran to inhumane conditions and torture by denying him medical furlough.
Vahid Chavaran, who has been suffering from a viral illness for a long time in Ilam Prison, is in critical physical condition. According to an informed source, he has become extremely weak due to his illness and urgently requires medical treatment. Despite his family’s efforts to secure a medical furlough by offering bail, judicial authorities have refused to grant it.
Medical facilities in Ilam Prison are extremely limited and inadequate, failing to meet the medical needs of this political prisoner. The continued denial of proper medical care and furlough persists as his health worsens day by day.
Insider Report on Vakil Abad Prison – Part Two
The women’s ward in Vakil Abad Prison is one of its most terrifying sections. Extreme overcrowding, poor sanitary conditions, widespread human rights violations, sexual harassment, and psychological torture have placed female inmates—especially political prisoners and prisoners of conscience—under severe physical and psychological pressure.
The women’s ward consists of 14 cells designed to accommodate a total of 50 inmates. However, over 200 female prisoners are crammed into this small and overcrowded space. Each cell holds between 14 to 18 inmates in a confined area, devoid of any basic amenities, subjecting them to inhumane conditions.
Impeachment of Hemmati: Corruption and Fuel Smuggling Exposed in Iran
The impeachment of Abdolnasser Hemmati on March 2, 2025, in Khamenei’s puppet parliament, which led to his removal with 182 votes in favor, marked a turning point in the political and economic tensions within the Velayat-e Faqih regime. Hemmati, an economist who had entered Masoud Pezeshkian’s cabinet as Minister of Economy, faced fierce opposition from Khamenei’s fascist faction.
According to some analysts, this impeachment was not just due to economic mismanagement—such as soaring inflation and the rise of the dollar to 92,000 tomans—but also a political maneuver by hardline factions, particularly the so-called Steadfast Front, to eliminate him. The impeachment session was broadcast on the regime’s state-run News Network on March 2, 2025.
