How Ayatollah Responded to Massive Protest against Iran Executions… by Hanging Opponent

daily-express-logo

Iran’s twisted Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the execution of an opponent even as tens of thousands of Iranians took to the streets to protest against the rogue state’s horrific mass killings of civillians. The Islamic dictator, and his hated Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), timed the killing of Mehran Bahramian to coincide with the protest which saw dissidents from across the UK and Europe taking to the streets of Brussels in what was billed as the biggest “show of force for years” against the hated Islamic regime in Tehran.

Donald Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence led keynote speakers in a powerful display of solidarity and defiance at the iconic Atomium in Brussels, stressing that solution to Iran’s crisis is neither foreign war nor appeasement, but rather the Third Option articulated by Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Iran: Statement by the Spokesperson on the Execution of Another Person Sentenced for 2022 Protests

european-union-extertnal-action

Mehran Bahramian was executed on September 6 by Iranian authorities, after being arrested and sentenced to death in connection with the 2022 protests in Iran.

The current pace of executions in Iran, at least 770 since January 2025, is appalling. The European Union condemns in the strongest term the use of capital punishment as a response to domestic dissent.

The EU urges the Iranian authorities to immediately end the practice of imposing and carrying out death sentences against protesters, and calls once again on Iran to refrain from any future executions and pursue a consistent policy towards the abolition of capital punishment altogether.

After Crafting Quiet Florida Life, Shah of Iran’s Alleged ‘Chief Torturer’ Must Now Face Trial

guardian-logo-30112020

Neighbors in the upscale Florida community of Windermere know them as Peter and Nancy, the seemingly friendly retired couple they wave to on morning walks, and who always appear to enjoy visits from their two high-flying grown daughters, one a respected professor of science at Harvard University.

Yet behind the high walls of their $3.6m lakefront mansion lies a darker, more closely guarded reality: “Peter” is actually Parviz Sabeti, the alleged head of secret police and chief torturer of the former Shah of Iran’s pre-revolutionary government, now facing a $225m lawsuit in Florida for atrocities committed in prisons in Tehran and elsewhere.

A district court judge ruled last month that the 89-year-old Sabeti – after crafting a successful and anonymous new life for himself and his family since fleeing his homeland in 1978 – must face trial in the case brought by three plaintiffs who describe themselves as former political prisoners.

EU Statement at the IAEA Board of Governors on Iran, 10 September 2025

eu-european-council-logo

I have the honour to speak on behalf of the European Union. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Republic of Moldova, San Marino, and Ukraine align themselves with this statement. The European Union would like to thank the Director General for his report and DDG Aparo for the technical briefing. We commend the Director General and the Secretariat for their professional, independent and impartial work.

We have always been clear that Iran must never be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon and that it must comply with its legally binding nuclear safeguards obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The IAEA’s verification and monitoring of Iran’s nuclear programme and its regular reporting to the Board and, as appropriate in parallel to the UN Security Council are mandated by the respective resolutions. We call on Iran to immediately enable the full resumption of the Agency’s in-field verification activities, the conduct of which must be in line with the standard safeguards practice and is therefore non-negotiable.

Pence: ‘The Time for a Free Iran Has Arrived’

newsmax-logo

It was planned that on Friday, Sept. 5 — just one day before the large demonstration of Iranians in Brussels, Belgium — a major concert would be held in Tehran. The decision was made by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, the country’s highest decision-making body.

The purpose of the concert appeared to be countering the Iranian protest gathering in Brussels. The performance was assigned to a renowned singer whose father was among the most celebrated figures in Iranian music over the past century.

The organization of this concert at such a high level reflected the regime’s need for spectacles that could seemingly validate the slogans and aspirations of the supreme leader.

Tehran Panics as Brussels Rally Exposes the Iranian Regime’s Fear of The Youth

On the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), a massive rally in Brussels sent a clear message to the world, but more importantly, it sent a shockwave of fear through the clerical regime in Tehran. The powerful demonstration, which brought together tens of thousands of Iranians, was not just a display of the Iranian Resistance’s strength; it was a catalyst that exposed the regime’s deepest insecurities. Tehran’s delayed and contradictory reaction reveals a leadership terrified of its own people, especially a young generation it can no longer control.

VPN and Proxy Services Have Become a $500 Million Market in Iran

A board member of Iran’s Virtual Business Association announced that the annual turnover of Iran’s VPN and proxy market is around $500 million, which is one of the reasons internet censorship remains in place in the country. On Monday, September 8, Pashootan Pourpezeshk told the state-run website Eghtesad120 that estimates suggest the VPN market in Iran generates between 30 to 50 trillion tomans (approximately $300–500 million) annually. He explained that given the volume of Instagram-based commerce, these figures are not unrealistic, adding that such economic dimensions are one of the main reasons why numerous obstacles exist against lifting internet censorship in Iran.

A New Oil Smuggling Scandal Involving Iranian Regime Leaders

An Iranian man stands on top of a large white fuel tanker truck in a queue with tankers transporting fuel

Following the revelation of new details in the case of Iran’s oil smuggling, the Iraqi prime minister ordered the formation of a special committee. This order came after the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned a wide network of violators. The purpose of this committee is to investigate suspicions of corruption in oil and petroleum product smuggling. This network had been selling Iranian regime oil on the market by falsifying its origin as Iraqi oil.

This move is considered an effort to protect Iraq’s national economy and public assets. The wide-ranging diplomatic activity in Baghdad highlights the importance of this matter for the Iraqi government.

Strong Ties Between Houthis and Iranian Regime Arms Supply Network Remain Intact

houthis ansarallah militias

The Conflict Armament Research (CAR) center, in its latest report, stated that the Houthis in Yemen continue to rely on foreign support, and much of the equipment seized from smuggled arms shipments shows strong links between this group and supply networks connected to the Iranian regime. The UK-based CAR center, in its September report, wrote that Houthi forces remain dependent on foreign support to strengthen their air defenses and conduct attacks, including against ships in the Red Sea. According to the report, the seizure of a large maritime shipment by Yemen’s National Resistance Forces just two days after the ceasefire between the Iranian regime and Israel was “the largest capture of advanced Iranian conventional weapons” in their history.

New ISIS Report Warns of Iran Regime’s Secretive Nuclear Activities After June Strikes

IAEA Secretary General Rafael Grossi

IAEA confirms loss of inspection access and “serious concern” over enriched uranium stockpiles. The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) has released a detailed assessment of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) latest reports on Iran, underscoring unprecedented challenges in monitoring the country’s nuclear program following the June war. The analysis, authored by David Albright, Sarah Burkhard, and Andrea Stricker, reviews the IAEA’s September 3, 2025, quarterly report Verification and monitoring in the “Islamic Republic of Iran” in light of United Nations Security Council resolution 2231 (2015), as well as its safeguards report. These are the first reports since Israel and the United States launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities during the 12-Day War.

Iran’s Regime Escalates Executions and Arrests Amid Growing Domestic Threats

Political Prisoners in Iran Mark 69th Week of “No to Execution Tuesday” with Nationwide Hunger Strikes

In August 2025, at least 169 people were executed and 158 arbitrarily detained across Iran, as the regime intensifies repression after the 12-day war. In the aftermath of the 12-day war and the severe blows it inflicted on the regime, the regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei repeatedly emphasized that the main threat comes not from foreign actors but from within Iran. This perspective has driven an intensified wave of repression, marked by mass arrests, relentless executions, and the silencing of dissent. Security and intelligence forces have arrested hundreds of citizens under various pretexts in recent weeks, while executions have continued at a relentless pace, leaving families across the country grieving.
