Terrorist Designations of Four Iran-Aligned Militia Groups
Today, the Department of State is designating Iran-aligned militia groups Harakat al-Nujaba, Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Harakat Ansar Allah al-Awfiya, and Kata’ib al-Imam Ali as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
The Department previously designated all four of these groups as Specially Designated Global Terrorists. As the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran continues to provide support that enables these militias to plan, facilitate, or directly carry out attacks across Iraq. Iran-aligned militia groups have conducted attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and bases hosting U.S. and Coalition forces, typically using front names or proxy groups to obfuscate their involvement.

60 Years of Sacrifice: How the PMOI’s Unbroken Legacy Fuels Iran’s Quest for Freedom
The 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) is not just a historical milestone; it is a testament to an unbroken chain of resistance against two successive dictatorships. For six decades, the PMOI has waged a relentless struggle for a free, democratic, and secular republic in Iran, first against the Shah’s monarchy and then against the brutal theocracy of the mullahs. This hard path, paid for with the blood of more than 100,000 martyrs, has forged a legacy of sacrifice that now fuels the defiant Resistance Units inside Iran, bringing the nation to the cusp of liberation.
Treasury Targets Financial Network Supporting Iran’s Military
WASHINGTON — Today, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is designating a pair of Iranian financial facilitators and more than a dozen Hong Kong- and United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based individuals and entities for their roles in coordinating funds transfers, including from the sale of Iranian oil, that benefits the IRGC-Qods Force (QF), and Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL). Iranian “shadow banking” networks like these—run by trusted illicit financial facilitators—abuse the international financial system, and evade sanctions by laundering money through overseas front companies and cryptocurrency. The IRGC-QF and MODAFL use these proceeds to support regional terrorist proxy groups and develop advanced weapons systems, including ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which threaten the security of U.S. forces and those of our allies.
Noboa Declares Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran as Terrorists
On Monday, September 15, 2025, President Daniel Noboa signed Executive Decree 218, through which he designated Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran as organized crime terrorist organizations.

He also instructed the National Intelligence Center (CNI) to monitor, classify, and analyze the influence of these groups in the region. If necessary, the CNI must coordinate actions with international intelligence agencies.
On September 11, through another decree, Noboa had already condemned the influence of Hamas and Hezbollah in Ecuador, noting their proven links to terrorist acts and warning of possible attacks on national territory.

The Mystery of Maryam Shahraki’s Death in Fardis Prison
Fardis Prison in Karaj has once again become a stark symbol of human rights violations in Iran. This time, the name of Maryam Shahraki, a 40-year-old woman and mother of two young children, has made headlines; a woman who was imprisoned solely for her inability to pay a financial debt of 300 million tomans and who lost her life as a result of medical negligence. On the evening of Thursday, September 11, 2025, Maryam Shahraki was transferred to the Fardis Prison infirmary with severe chest pain. According to informed sources, she showed clear signs of a heart condition. However, the prison’s on-call physician, “Dr. Nasir,” attributed the pain to her stomach and, without conducting any diagnostic tests or referring her to a specialized medical center, prescribed only a few pills.

In the past two years, similar reports had emerged of widespread threats and attempts to prevent gatherings commemorating Mahsa and other victims of the revolutionary uprising.
Iran Regime’s Permanent Limbo Fuels Social Erosion
A pro-regime newspaper admits that the aftermath of the 12-day war has pushed Iranian society into a dangerous limbo, eroding trust, weakening institutions, and deepening divisions. On September 13, 2025, the state-run daily Vatan Emrooz published an article titled “The Danger of Social Erosion in a State of Limbo.” The piece represents one of the most candid admissions by a pro-regime outlet of the depth of Iran’s current crisis. While the regime often seeks to minimize internal weaknesses by emphasizing external threats, this article reveals the leadership’s growing fear of the post-war environment. It depicts the aftermath of the recent 12-day conflict as a limbo—an ambiguous condition that is neither war nor peace, which, according to the newspaper, may be more damaging to the regime than open confrontation itself.
