About 400 people in Shiraz (southern Iran) gathered in Daneshjou Square at around 17:30 on June 22. They were, however, quickly dispersed after an attack by the mullahs’ State Security Force (SSF), the special anti-riot unit and the paramilitary Bassij Force. According to eyewitness reports, a crowd of about 3,000 to 4,000 people marched to the Shahcheragh tomb and lit candle lights honoring the memory of Neda Salehi Agha Soltan and other victims of the recent nationwide uprising in Iran.
