Iran: Official says over 70 percent in Tehran watch banned satellite TV

The Iranian regime’s culture minister says more than 70 percent of people of Tehran are watching banned satellite channels.

Ali Jannati was quoted by state-run news agency IRNA as saying : “There is a necessity for today’s field of science and technology to examine how we should counter with the damages of such networks.”

The Iranian regime’s State Security Forces regularly attack people’s houses in major cities and towns to collect satellite receivers and dishes to prevent people from viewing opposition satellite TVs.

In recent months the raids have intensified especially in rural areas of the country as more peoples view satellite TVs.
