NCRI – Gas prices in Iran may increase up to six times when the unpopular measures to reduce subsidies come into effect, the state-run ILNA news agency reported on Wednesday.
Currently, rationed gas prices sell at about 10 cents a liter and 40 cents in the open market.
But “the assessments made by the smart subsidies working group shows that among the available options, the price hike of up to 65 cents is more probable than the others.”
According to the state-run ILNA, the Iranian regime’s officials have also considered other prices for gasoline, including 50, 90, and 96 cents a liter.
