Iran: Rebellious Youth Carry Out 15 Operations in Protest to Rise in Bread Prices

NCRI logoIn protest against the nationwide increase in the price of bread, the staple food of the Iranian people, and in solidarity with hardworking bakers and the army of the hungry, rebellious youth carried out 15 courageous operations in Tehran and 12 other cities: Mashhad, Ahvaz, Kuzaran (Kermanshah), Birjand, Lordegan, Mehrestan, Urmia, Kerman, Babol, Behshahr, Qaen, and Aligudarz, setting fire to repression centers and symbols of the clerical regime.

During these operations, conducted under heavy security and widespread intelligence surveillance, the following sites were set on fire:

  • Two IRGC Basij bases in Birjand and Kuzaran (Kermanshah)
  • A repression and looting center disguised as a Hozeh in Lordegan
  • A government looting center in Mehrestan
  • A government banner on the Khavaran highway overpass in Tehran

In addition, government signs and banners bearing the images of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi, and Qassem Soleimani were torched in Ahvaz, Mashhad, Urmia, Kerman, Babol, Behshahr, Qaen, and Aligudarz.
