Call for urgent action to halt the mullahs’ machinery of execution and carnage
The mullahs’ regime, terrified of the potential for renewed popular uprisings, is relentlessly utilizing its machinery of execution and carnage to intimidate the public. The regime’s henchmen have executed at least 22 prisoners on September 2, 6, 9 and 13.
On September 13, six prisoners were executed: Amanullah Nazarkhani and Hashem Rakhshani in Zabol Prison, Asghar Pishahang in Zahedan Prison, Mohammad Mousazeh in Iranshahr Prison, and Yousef Abil and Farzad Ahmadpour in Jiroft Prison.
On September 9, four prisoners, identified as Shahrokh Pouresmaeili, Hossein Ghasemzadeh, and Mohammad-Yousef Eisazehi (Rigi) in Dastgerd Prison of Isfahan, and Mohammadreza Neirang in the Central Prison of Yazd, were hanged.
On September 6, four prisoners, including a 40-year-old woman named Fatemeh Jahangard, along with Mohammadreza Mohammadparast, Mehrdad Mokhtari, and Seyed-Rasoul Davari, were executed in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
In a series of horrific crimes on September 2, eight prisoners were hanged: Omid Rakhshani, Ansar Nami, and Nazif Rasul-Khandeh in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad; Aziz Roshanaei and Yaser Momeni in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz; Ali Mir-Rezaei in Babol; Ahmad Haji-Hasani in the Central Prison of Gorgan; and Vali-Jan Norzay in Rafsanjan.
Furthermore, on September 5, Reza Salimi was executed in the Central Prison of Semnan; on September 8, Ezzat Asgari was executed in Behshahr; and on September 14, Abdolrahim Narouei-Rozaneh was executed in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.
The Iranian Resistance once again calls on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Human Rights Council, and international human rights organizations to take urgent action to save the lives of prisoners on death row. The regime’s appalling record of crimes must be referred to the UN Security Council, and its leaders must be brought to justice for four decades of crimes against humanity.
