After spending an hour in hope of meeting with Ms. Arbour, the suppressive SSF suddenly attacked their gathering.
The Iranian Resistance warned against the ruling religious fascism taking advantage of Ms. Arbour’s trip to Tehran in which she took part in Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s conference on human rights to increase torture and executions in Iran. Ms. Arbour was strongly urged to condemn the human rights violations in particular group executions, public hangings, and all other forms of physical and psychological tortures.
It also called on the UN Commissioner to make the followings mandatory for the Iranian regime:
-To inform millions of Iranians of the fate of their loved ones who have been executed or still missing over the past three decades.
-Publish the names and particulars of all those executed including the location of their graves, especially those massacred in the summer of 1988.
The Resistance emphasized that relations with the Iranian regime must be conditional on the improvement of human rights conditions.
